We're looking for a Head Butcher that's organized, detail oriented, and passionate about working with some of the finest whole carcass butchery Appalachia has to offer. Under Chef direction, the Head Butcher will lead our team to partner with both farmers and restaurants, while also being able to showcase their skills in special farm and social events.
This unique opportunity may suit a knowledgeable chef with good experience of butchery or someone with a traditional background in butchery.
Shipley Farms is growing and looking to add an organized and passionate team member to help fulfill and deliver the finest fresh and frozen meats in the High Country.
This position entails accurately and efficiently packing and safely transporting products to wholesale customers in the area as well as assisting with on farm social food events. Clean driving record and ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs a must, ability to operate an electric pallet jack and drive a truck a plus.
Watauga Butchery is expanding and we’re looking for meat cutters and/ or culinarians with a passion to develop meat cutting skills.
This unique and exciting position will work with only the highest quality locally pasture raised animals, under the direction of chefs and Head Butcher in a USDA inspected facility, and have the opportunity to master meat cutting while playing an important role in special culinary events. Experience with banquets and large volume food production is desired.
