Loved my last order from Shipley! The steak was amazing, the ground beef made the best burgers ever, and the prime rib was beyond delicious. Everyone is so kind and easy to work with, and the meat is incredible! I was excited to hear that they offer subscription packages and would definitely recommend them!

Absolutely incredible tour, from cows, goats, gardening to gorgeous Mountain View's, it's truly an incredible experience you can't miss out on when you visit Boone! Not to mention the farm store with great meats!! 11/10 highly recommend!

My boys and I had a great time touring the farm and learning the history of Shipley Farms. Farmer Bob did such a great job explaining the history of the farm and showing us around. Farmer Bob is one of those people that you can talk to for hours and soak up everything he has to share. My 17 year old son talked about our tour for hours and kept saying repeatedly how great of a time he had. We also purchased several ribeyes and filets, and they were phenomenal. We will definitely stop by again the next time we are in the area.

We’ve been purchasing our beef from Shipley for the past couple of years. It’s consistently amazing! My family loves it so much, it’s our go-to option for celebration meals. Today I enjoyed getting to pick up my order at the Blowing Rock Farmer’s Market. You couldn’t ask for nicer, more knowledgeable folks. Thank you Shipley Family and staff for making such quality beef, sharing your knowledge and always making a visit with y’all a joy!

While visiting the Boone, NC area we found this wonderful resource and purchased several items from the farm store to take home to Charlotte, NC. EVERYTHING was simply outstanding and we couldn't be more pleased; it is nearly impossible to find food of this quality in this "heavily processed to feed millions" world of food Inc. We have made Shipley Farms our exclusive supplier of beef and pork (and some goodies for our Alaskan Malamute Ranger) via a subscription service with them that delivers to our home. Do not hesitate to give them a try, you WILL be back for more!

Very surprised at how tough the steaks were, perhaps that is result of grass fed. But disappointed on a taste basis. I’ll buy non grass fed meat in the grocery store that tastes better and is a lot less expensive.

Sold by the pound. The price shown is an estimate based on average weight. At checkout we place a temporary hold slightly above that estimate, then charge only the exact weight we pack for you. Anything held above the final amount is released back to your card.

Our Dry-Aged Signature Ground Beef is anything but ordinary. Dry-aging is slower and more expensive than the usual process, which is why you almost never find it in a grocery store. In a temperature and humidity controlled cooler, moisture evaporates and the beef's flavour concentrates, while enzymes naturally present in the meat tenderise the muscle. Our Signature line is dry-aged all the way through, even the ground beef.

The cattle are the same: Hereford, Red and Black Angus and South Devon, raised on open mountain pasture, never confined and never in a feedlot. Never given growth hormones or steroids, and never fed antibiotics to promote growth. Their diet is grass and forage from our own pastures, supplemented with a custom blend developed with experts from the NC State College of Agriculture.

Farmed with "no shortcuts", then dry-aged for flavour and tenderness. Comes vacuum-sealed and frozen for optimal flavour and quality. Ships from our farm to most of the East Coast in two business days or less.
