19 cuts, about 40 to 42 lbs of beef in total. The exact mix moves a little with each animal, because we cut what the animal gives us rather than forcing every box to match.
Straight answers before you buy
- It is frozen, not fresh. Everything we ship leaves the farm frozen. Unfrozen beef is a farm order against a deposit, because it means scheduling the harvest around your date.
- You need about 2 to 3 cubic feet of freezer. A small chest freezer holds it comfortably.
- The cut list moves a little. We cut what the animal gives us. If your household will not eat something in the box, tell us before it is packed and we will swap it for ground beef or another cut of similar weight.
- Renewals charge automatically. Each delivery is charged to your card when it falls due. Change the schedule or stop it any time before then by contacting the farm.
Why buy a share instead of packs
A share is the whole animal's worth of eating in proportion: steaks, a roast, ground beef and the cuts most people never think to order, at one price per pound rather than the retail price of each cut separately. About $19.78 a pound across ribeye, strip, filet, sirloin, a chuck roast and 10 lbs of ground beef is the part that is hard to argue with.

How does the subscription bill, and can I change or cancel it?
Each delivery is charged automatically to the card you checked out with when it falls due, and then it ships. There is no contract: change the schedule or stop it any time before the next delivery by contacting the farm.
What if my household does not eat a cut in the box?
Tell us before the box is packed and we will swap it for ground beef or another cut of similar weight. The cut list is how the animal divides, not a fixed menu.
Where does the beef come from?
Shipley Farms in Vilas, North Carolina, with cattle from our own herd and from partner farms that raise to our standards.
Do you deliver to my state?
We ship frozen across the continental United States. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address, and it is cheapest in the Southeast because the box spends fewer days in transit.
